Hello, everyone!
owl. here! I'm here to deliver some cool news! First off, I ordered the sticker rewards, mainly because I was too excited not to, and they arrived today! Prudently covered by the box is the Nightmare Prince's sticker, haha. They're super adorable, wouldn't you agree? They were created by MelowBee, the creator of Fujiwara Bittersweet.
In any case, things are going swimmingly. We're approaching the middle of the campaign with lots of hope in our hearts and determination in our souls. If we fund, we have lots of cool prizes to give out so my heart is absolutely full of excitement for the future. I hope you guys will love what we have in store!
In any case, I've been working on the game and just recently finished scripting what we have so far of the writing (21k+) so I'll be starting up with writing again! Holiday season is approaching so my secular work schedule will be hectic. Still, I'm determined to make time for writing.
Speaking of writing, one of my favorite Kickstarter prizes is the extended demo! It'll add another 8k to the current demo, bringing it up to 10k words for players to enjoy.
I hope those of you who pledged for those tiers are looking forward to it as much as I am.
With lots of love,
owl.
Ten Days Left!

Hey, guys!
It's ten days left in the campaign and we're making our way towards the final third of the campaign. First, I'd like to thank all 173 of you for pledging so far! Let's go towards the end together!
I'd like to report that I've created a new tier!
This tier is the Human tier.
If you've noticed, the characters of Belle Automata are color-coded: Aureve is red, Victor is yellow, the Nightmare Prince is green, Zaffre is blue and Roman is purple. That leaves two open slots for Orange (an android) and Indigo (a human scientist.)
The backer (or backers!) who goes for this tier will be able to work closely together with me (owl.) to create a variety of aspects of the character and his route, such as his name, personality, VA and even route events!
And of course, you guys will get to romance one or both of them.
In any case!
A small announcement! The next update will include a Q&A session with the characters! If you have any questions for Aureve, Victor, the Nightmare Prince, Zaffre or Roman, let us know and we will make sure they give a proper answer (even Victor.)
Until the next one!

We're halfway there!

Just five days into the campaign and we're already halfway there! To the 129 people who believe in us and our project, thank you so much for supporting this campaign. Quite honestly, I am surprised and humbled to make it this far since I definitely was filled with a lot of self-doubt going into this project. This isn't my first Kickstarter and comparatively speaking, watching the numbers go up so much faster than my first campaign has been gratifying.
But! Enough gushing.
To thank you all for such a milestone, I'd like to reveal some beautiful guest art of Victor by Amar Kagamine on Twitter! Amar is new to Twitter so give them a follow if you'd like!
Thank you again for your support. We've won this battle so let's aim to win the war!

P.S. Curious about the love interests of Belle Automata? Feel free to send in any questions to the Nightmare Prince, Victor, Zaffre or Roman. Let's see what they have to say!
Thank you for 100+ backers!

It's only been two days but we are well on our way towards the half way point--and so early in the campaign, too! As of my writing this, over one hundred of you have chosen to back this project, to which I can only say thank you so much!
Today's theme is about numbers so I'm going to give a brief run-down of how the writing is going. So far, the game is over 21k, with a projected 40k being written by the end of this month.
Who's route, you may wonder?
Well, actually I started writing the route of the Nightmare Prince first as he is one of my favorite characters and the first person to inspire me to write the other routes.
What's the Prince like? Well... those are spoilers, just a bit! But I can tell you this: if you like warm but private characters who play their cards close to their chest, then you'll love him.
Speaking of, if you want to ask the characters anything, please leave a comment to this post and I'll make sure they answer it properly. Even stubborn Victor. So please submit your questions either via Direct Message or by commenting on this post!
In any case, tomorrow's the day I start working on writing again! I'm really looking forward to it, especially because, due to my work schedule, I've been supremely busy. Still, we're right on track and doing just fine.

Day One Complete~!

Hello, everyone and thank you for backing or considering backing Belle Automata. The first 24 hours have completed bringing us 1/3 closer to the goal.
That's an incredible start and gives me lots of hope that we'll hit some of those stretch goals as well. This has been a great year for otome games on Kickstarter and I hope with all my heart that we can join the ranks.
That said, please share Belle Automata with everyone that you know! Help get the word out so we can make a fantastic game together.
Now, what I'd like to talk about is the title: Belle Automata.
It may come as a surprise but the first route of Belle Automata that I conceived (that of The Nightmare Prince) loosely borrows elements of from Beauty and the Beast. Of course the name of the main character is Belle, hence the "Belle" in Belle Automata.
Why Automata?
Well, the word Automata comes from the Greek word "automatos" meaning "moves on its own." Aureve, the main character, is certainly one that moves on her own as she is sentient--but also she learns over the course of the story to move forward in spite of her grief at losing her master.
I hope you will enjoy going on that journey with her!
